Funeral Home Records

Elkhart County Genealogical Society has published the records of many Elkhart County funeral homes. Records for the Dale White, Walley-Mills-Zimmerman, Stephens & Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman, and Lienhart and Weaver funeral homes have been published in book form and are found on the Library shelves. Also: Stemm-Lawson-Peterson funeral home, Elkhart; Stemm-Lawson-Peterson funeral home, Bristol; Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse funeral home, Elkhart. Records of Walter Meyer 1921-1947, Walter Meyer 1932-1940, Charles S. Rohrer of New Paris, and Jacob Ehret 1888-1899 have been published in the ECGS quarterly, Michiana Searcher (Elkhart County Indiana Searcher). The Searcher is shelved among other genealogical periodicals on the east wall of the genealogy collection.
