Homebound Program

The Elkhart Public Library can help bring books and other materials to people through its Homebound Program. Materials are selected according to a user preference profile and specific requests.

The program provides service for those residing within the city of Elkhart, Indiana, or in the surrounding townships of Cleveland, Concord and Osolo.

Any person who is confined to a home or an institution because of physical disability, illness, or age is eligible for the Homebound Program.

Eligibility must be determined by a competent authority who is not a relative of the individual seeking service. Any member of the medical or allied health profession, professional persons in the field of public health, education, library service, rehabilitation, social work and public welfare, and members of the clergy are considered a competent authority.
