Tours

Three basic types of tours are offered at the Elkhart Public Library (EPL).

Tours of Reference Services are offered to small groups and are conducted by Reference Services. These tours explain the services and materials available in Reference, including investment materials, business research materials, statistics, online Web Resources and assistance in person and over the phone.

Tours of the Teen/Young Adult Department are offered to groups of Junior High or High School students, and career groups and are presented by the Young Adult Librarian. These tours explain the services and materials available in the Young Adult Department, including a Careers Collection, and both fiction and nonfiction materials aimed at those aged 12 to 18.

Tours of the Children’s Room are offered by Young People’s Services and explain the services and materials available in the Children’s Room. These include a Reference collection, books on tape, fiction, nonfiction, games and toys and computers. Combined tours of Young Adult and the Children’s Room can be arranged as well. All tours require two weeks advance notice for arrangement.
